Link Love – Just Legalize It Already America

| November 17, 2012 | 24 Comments

If you haven’t already watched this video by College Humor, you need to! It’s absolutely hilarious! I’m not super political in my everyday life or on this blog for that matter, but I just don’t understand what the big deal is about legalizing gay marriage in the States? It’s been legal here in Canada since 2005 and we’re all doing just fine. Ok, that’s all I’m gonna say.

In other news, today is actually going to be a pretty interesting day for me. I’ve got my orientation to be a mentor! I’ll write about it next week, but I’m pretty excited about it. Basically it’s all through the YWCA and I get to be a mentor to a high school student who is looking for a bit of guidance from someone who has finished post-secondary and is currently in the workforce. A few of my friends are doing it too, which is really cool, although we’ve all agreed that if you had told us 5 years ago that we would become mentors, we would have laughed in your face. I guess this means we’re gettin’ old!

Ha, I loved that..the wayyy too old, just sittin around eating pizza playing board games and going to a club….. etc. Isn’t it amazing the older we get the less enthusiastic we are about going out and getting blitzed and coming home.. well I’m not, never really was. I’ve never been to Whistler, maybe one day. I heard it was beautiful. Well enjoy your weekend getaway or what’s left of it. Cheers Mate. Mr.CBB

Enjoy the weekend away. I recently went glamping with some girls from my ball team at a ski resort too (though it was far less glamorous than Whistler!)

Oh! Whistler looks pretty and it’s definitely on my list of must-ski-places. Have a great weekend!

One of my best girlfriends from work went glamping this weekend in upstate New York. I’d never heard the term until then, but I think it sounds wonderful. I hope you had so much fun.

Thanks for the mention! The mentoring sounds interesting, I’m doing something similar for a program I was a part of on university.

  12. Liquid_Independence says:

It means we’re getting wiser and more mature. I do a bit of mentoring too for the school I work part time at. I like to scare the kids with horror stories about the work place, which may or may not be true :0) Thanks for the mention.

Haha! That video’s great. Maybe a little anit-productive from a social/civil rights standpoint, but absolutely hilarious.
