Week in Review: Heatwaves, Thunderstorms and Blue Jays

Week 3 is coming to an end this weekend, meaning me and the HB have almost been in Toronto for a full month! This week was actually quite busy one which was great. I met up with three contacts who live here and I also had a phone interview for a possible job. Things are definitely looking up and as each day passes I feel more and more confident about moving here. It’s funny, almost every local I’ve met has told me what a brave decision it was to up and move across the country, but the decision always felt relatively natural to me. I honestly felt like my time was up in Vancouver and the next phase of my life was somewhere else.

So, besides meetings and job hunting, my HB and I have agreed that we really do need to take advantage of our free time during the summer and have some fun (even if it’s a million degrees outside)! Last night we went to a Blue Jays game, something I’ve always wanted to do. Tickets were only $14 each (sure, we were up pretty high but we got a great view of the entire field!) and it was really fun to be see a big sporting event. All we really have in Vancouver is hockey (yes I know we also have baseball and soccer teams but they aren’t on the same level as Toronto’s sports teams) and since the Canucks are a pretty major team we could never afford tickets to any of the games. Next on our list is to see Niagara Falls, go on some roller coasters at Canada’s Wonderland, and go up the CN Tower.

Moving onto some link love, here are a few blog posts I really enjoyed reading this week!
