So today my BF and I are jumping on a plane to Bangkok, Thailand. It ends up being like two days of travel because of the time difference and the 15 hour flights (ugh, shoot me now), but I know once we arrive it will be totally worth it! We have a stop over after 10 hours of flying in Tokyo, which I was really stoked about. Unfortunately it’s only an hour stop so we won’t be able to see much of Japan, or even much of the airport for that matter.
I’m going to try my best to post some photos and maybe even a post or two as there are some internet cafes where we’re going. However, I do really want to take this month to unplug for a bit and just experience everything without an electronic device in hand. When I went to The Gambia as a volunteer, I brought my video camera with me, hoping to eventually edit the footage into a documentary. I am glad I brought it because now I have some awesome footage to look back on (you can actually check out the short video I made on Youtube), but I also felt like I missed out on a lot of experiences because I was looking at almost everything through a lens. Not this time. The only electronic devices I’m bringing are my digital camera for photos and my Kobo ereader.
I will be maintaining my normal posting schedule of Monday, Wednesday, Friday with some pre-written posts by yours truly and some guest posts by some of my favourite bloggers. So just because I won’t be in the same country, continent, or hemisphere, this blog will be plenty active while I’m away. Thanks for continuing to read everyone!
Talk to you all soon!
