If You Love Lists, You’ll Love Workflowy

I love lists. I’ve been making lists since I was in high school and they are seriously what keep me sane when I’ve got a bajillion things to do. I used to make a list every year in high school with goals that I wanted to accomplish and classic movies I wanted to watch, and I would tape it to my bedroom wall next to my bed. Yes, I was an odd teenager, but hey, I think I turned out okay. Anyways, not only did it keep everything organized, but crossing off one of those bullets was such a thrill! Again, I realize I sound like anal nerd with a touch of OCD, but I swear by my lists, they work! I remember putting down “Get a scholarship”, “Get at least four As” and “Get on the honor roll every year to get honor cords at graduation”, and I crossed off every one of those goals with a triumphant smile. I also watched a lot of old movies to prepare myself for film school. All for free I might add, thanks to the collection at my local library. To this day, I still make lists, and up until recently, they were scattered on a bunch of sticky notes on my computer’s desktop.

That is until I discovered Workflowy! Okay, it was actually my older sister who told me about it, but whatever. Workflowy is a free site where you can make lists upon lists upon lists! What’s great about it is it’s hosted on the web, it’s not a program you have to download onto your computer, so you can access it any place where there’s wi-fi. For instance, one of the ways I use it is to archive all of my blog posts. One day a friend noticed that one of my posts was cut off half-way. It was noon on a Tuesday, I was stuck at work, so I wouldn’t have been able to fix it until after work at 5pm. In comes Workflowy to the rescue! I had saved my post in one of my lists, so I just copy and pasted it back into my blog and it was all fixed before anyone else noticed.

Do you have any awesome free sites you’d like to share?
