Happy Victoria Day and Belated Mother’s Day!

Happy Victoria Day and belated Mother’s Day!

So I am officially back from my week (or week and a half) blogging hiatus. It has been a busy time for me, what with me getting married, leaving my full-time job, packing up my apartment, getting ready to move to Toronto, oh ya, and planning a ten day honeymoon in California!

I’ve got a ton of stuff to share with all of you, but I’ll get to that on Wendesday. Today I’m actually going to be celebrating Mother’s Day with my mom and my new husband’s mom since we didn’t get a chance last weekend. Oh my gosh, how weird that I’ve got a husband! I guess I can no longer call him BF on here. How about HB? Or Mr. Mo’ Money? Ha!

Enjoy the rest of the long weekend everybody!

  • LOL! I’m shuddering at these questions. It makes me never, ever want to have a wedding. I know most of my guests wouldn’t be this annoying but I’m sure I’d get at least each of these sorts of questions once. It would be all I could do not to punch anybody in the throat.

    • Haha, I honestly can’t really see anyone in my family or any friends asking me any of these questions, but if any of these come up, I’ve got my answers ready. I definitely suggest eloping for anyone who doesn’t want to deal with all the shenanigans that come along with wedding planning. I haven’t even done much planning yet but getting married on the beach in Malibu with no one else around sure is tempting.

    • I’m trying my best right now to be nice but I just know when it gets closer to the date I may I have to whip out some of these sassy answers. I should probably warn anyone that will be part of the wedding in advance and make sure to get them some nice thank you gifts.

  • Bahaha. This is awesome. I don’t plan on having any bridesmaids, a traditional wedding cake and I have a handmedown ring. I have no idea how many carats it is but since it’s valued at just over $1k, probably not all that many. And that suits me fine. I don’t like bling, and I don’t want to be paranoid about anything happening to it.

I’m most dreading the ‘no alcohol’ question. Anybody who has ever attended a family event held by my fiances side will understand why. But they only number a very few people.

    • I’ve got two sisters so there’s no way I can’t have bridesmaids, but I’m definitely opting for a less traditional wedding than I thought. For alcohol we’re definitely not having an open bar, though no alcohol at the wedding would save us so much money! It’s crazy that it’ll cost us about $800 – $1000 just for liquor, and that’s limiting everyone to 2 drinks each! You might be on to something there, plus avoiding any drunk outbursts or people throwing up outside :)

  • I’m liking Mr. Mo’ Money haha. Might have to steal that and call my honey Mr. CrazyRichLife. Congrats again on being married =D

  • Congratulations to you and your hubby for having successfully done da deed and got hitched ! :-)

You may have mentioned this in the past but is hubby aware of your blog and, if so, will we be treated to a post from him once in awhile here?

Enjoy your summer and we here in TO await your arrival. The weather here has been great this Victoria Day weekend.

  • Congrats to you both!! Haha it’s weird isn’t it? T introduced me as his wife the other day and I did a double take. I just updated my About page today, too.

I know what you’re going through right now – it’s crazy busy but it’ll quieten down soon :) Good luck with the move and in Toronto!

  • Mr. Mo Money, I love it! Congrats on the wedding and the honeymoon and the traveling and well…everything!
